ok, no time for a real post so please put up with the substitute :D

got freaked last night cause my baby had a fever (laptop…cooler…) so it triggered in my bad ass memory, which helps me tell the same story to a friend 2 times in 5 minutes, that i had forgotten to extend my warranty. shit, shit. checked and it had expired just that day (just my luck to remember exactly 3 hours after…) went online, HP help desk, filled in my name, country, selected my notebook, connecting…
since the customer experience report or whatever hasn’t been sent to me yet, i cannot post it as it is, but you’ll get the point

Ruben: Hello Ruxandra, my name is Ruben. How may I assist you today?

me: i’ve just realised that my warranty has expired and i would like to have it extended. is that still possible?
ruben_dude: please provide me …. a lot of product related bullcrap….
ruben_dude: yes, i have checked. your warranty expires today, on the 21.01.08.
me: you mean it has expired (it was around 3am on the 22nd, but i got it that the dude was american or presuming he speaks with an american or something…). but can i still have it extended?
ruben_dude: please state the exact issue on which i may assist you.
me!??!?: is it possible to have the warranty for my laptop extended even if it has expired?
ruben_dude_pissing_me_off: yes. it is possible. i can assist you in that matter.
me: it’s ok i can have it done here, that is all i wanted to know.
ruben: it will cost you $115, shipping included. could i please have your shipping address?
me: but i wanted to pay in cash… but never being able to say no to these sales people… my shipping address is bla, bla, finland
ruben: you do not reside in the US?
me: no. in finland.

me_realising_that_the_dude_is_a_moron_and_obviously_i’ll_get_shipped_nada: oi, please make it 19.00 FINLAND time.
ruben_waking_up_from_the_erasmus_party: i am sorry i cannot assist you if you are not a resident of the US.
