okesh, a little short informative post on our spring break trip :D

<big booooring info block>

Stockholm Town - fur za nerd traveller in all of us
City Backpackers - central, though quite cheap the dudes there. they made us pay for the sheets. coooome on! free pasta and porn showers though. good for socializing. and super friendly.
Helsinki.fi - hehe, fur za other nerd alter ego planner
Viking Line - za boooooooze cruise

</big booooring info block>

we took off to helsinki. flavic, natasha, me und the belgian bitches: simon, loic and oli. from too much goodwill towards a healthy smile, i left my seat to sleep to a finn girlie-girl (whom even now i suspect of being strangely alien cause she had no idea what 8% karjala was… verdo!), therefore i was left seatless and a little tipsy. needed sleep. finally got it.

got to helsinki where we headed straight to the belgian pub. too early. closed. went street-exploring. saw the city hall. the places where we drank on new year’s. the harbour. we got a little lost… just a little. we visited the St Nicholas Church (the one up on the hill, near the harbour). we had fun with a “press replay” guard. we visited the Helsinki City Museum. we then drank some Krik, Duvel and Barbar at Belge. très delicious.

next we went on the booze cruise. super, although we nearly got screwed with the closing hours of the duty free. but we managed anyway to shift to “is the boat moving, or is it me?!” mode.

arrived to stockholm. fantabulous! in 2 days i visited these:

Moderna Museet: yey, yey, joy, joy. Andy Warhol exhibition!!! orgasmic joy! and a touch of Picasso, Matisse and mid 50’s Rio de Janeiro art. beeeehhhutiful.

Capture-14

Vasa Museum: a big big big big, i mean BIG ship. sweeet.

The Royal Palace: wow the disappointment level of that changing of the guards… they had cute Donald Duck wannabe shoes thingies, though :D

The Stockholm Cathedral: St. George’s Slaying of the Dragon famous sculpture. pretty, yes. very very. along with the Mock Sun Painting. a must visit.

St Jacob’s Church

and the Duvel pub. more than once (looooove Hoegaarden Rosse!). and Hard Rock Cafe. non-friendly peoples there.

others visited these:

The Army Museum: Oli was sad cause they didn’t have a lot of viking stuff… this is what you get when you mock the warhol legacy… in your face, yey.

The Nobel Museum: i’m sad i did’t get to see it also, butta it was closed according to the monday rule. screw them…

i bloody hell missed this one (!!!!!!!! more time, less absolut at night would’ve done it, but hey, i’m only me): The National Museum’s exhibition of Toulouse-Lautrec and got lost on the map and got to late for the Skansen Open-Air Museum (note: Oli: obviously it’s there, cause it’s not here!)

that’s about all on the visiting side… mmm… yes. ok, besides doing the tourist all the days, i got to:

- meet Andreeeeeeeeiiii! very kewl. Oli (the designated cook for both days and our only source of non-fast food) did some gourmet smelly deliciously yummy goat pasta. drank belgian beer. again.
- eat exactly 9 burgers in 3 days. super-dezgustator. tummy ache.
- speak italian. a little, but soo soo good.
- meet some nice romanians, turks and swedish folks (really just some cause all in all the sweds didn’t appeal to us so much).
- drink Hoegaarden Rosse!!! za best. amazing taste. wow. really wow.
- do something else also, which i will keep to myself, but i will make an intriguing note of it here as a reminder.

moving on, we came back by train and then by bus and dead tired. so so kawaii and awfully nice.
